Any information that is gathered, evaluated, and quickly shared in order to solve a particular intelligence concern is generally referred to as open-source intelligence (OSINT). Historically the domain of national security analysts, OSINT today is utilized by a rising class of specialists in industries as diverse as investment research, crisis management, human rights, media, and cybersecurity.
For this workshop participants will learn how to conduct an effective open-source research and investigations and how to assess information needed and formulate a collection strategy. A variety of search techniques will be covered, along with how to document gathered information to facilitate analysis and insight development.
