In any investigation, a key element that must be done is analysis. This involves evaluating a wider range of possibilities using structured analytical procedures to challenge instinctive judgments. Although there is no secret to always getting things correct, using such strategies can lessen the likelihood that analysts will make mistakes.

For this workshop participants will gain knowledge about and skills in using analysis techniques and methodologies to support decision-making in intelligence-led environments. This will cover hypothesis generation, SWOT analysis, key assumption checks, and back casting among other techniques.
