9:00am – 12:00pm AST

Description

Cybercrime can be described as criminal activity that uses a computer, a computer network or a networked device by cybercriminals or hackers who want to make money. Additionally, cybercrime can also aim to damage computers or networks for political or personal.

As technology continues to become more sophisticated, fraudsters find new ways to commit fraud without physical interaction. This ultimately increases the impact and volume of losses and decreases the likelihood of perpetrators being captured.

For this workshop, participants get an introduction into cybercrimeand digital investigations. This introduction will help participants get an understanding, and awareness of the skills needed for these types of investigations and also to help them become more aware of how to protect digital evidence.
