The occurrence of fraud is very common in the construction industry. In fact, fraud can happen more often in construction than in other industries. This is because a typical project often has several different project participants with tons of moving parts. Construction financing and the current system of payment are both a mess. There are an unlimited number of ways fraud can occur at any point during a construction project.

For this course the focus was placed how to conduct a contract and procurement investigation. Participants were exposed to common fraud schemes that occurs in construction and taught the methods to be used to investigate these schemesrnal Investigations.
